den ersten teil der tour haben wir hinter uns gebracht. sehr schön war's. an alle wie auch immer beteiligten ein herzliches dankeschön! wir sahen tolle konzerte in graz, die schönste wohnung ever in innsbruck (danke, herlinde!), ein großartiges kupro in sigharting und viele viele menschen bei den frames in wien. dankeschön! dreckige details, schmutzige geschichten und grausige photos folgen in kürze.

mir sind nicht mehr viele bücher meiner kindheit in erinnerung, aber an "komm, sagte der esel" von mira lobe und angelika kaufmann erinnere ich mich noch. so oft, dass ich nie den imperativ "komm" verwenden kann, ohne leise dazu zu sagen "sagte der esel." hat schon viele verwirrt, aber ist halt so. jedenfalls ist mir jetzt erst aufgefallen, dass sich der esel oder die eselin also offenbar schon wesentlich länger durch mein leben ziehen, als erst mit der gründung von asinella records. sehr schön ist das. ich mag es, wenn dinge einen sinn ergeben.

gestern hatten wir die erste probe mit der frisch aus den usa zurückgekehrten perschinger am schlagzeug. schön war das! und was auch immer es ist, aber gerade schreiben sich die lieder recht schnell, so konnte ich gestern wieder was Neues in der probe präsentieren, das trinklied nämlich, das eigentlich gar keines ist, aber beim schreiben dann gegen ende irgendwie eines wurde - vermutlich weil ich umzingelt war von leeren bierflaschen. wie auch immer. wir mögen es, und es heißt "homedrinking." wir üben es und werden es bei der tour mit emma und ihren buben, die schon in 2 (!!) wochen beginnt, sicher das ein oder andere mal trällern. dann gibt's noch ein paar andere neue - wie gesagt, es gibt so zeiten, da verwandeln sich die eindrücke schwuppsdiwupps in ausdrücke, und dann wieder behalte ich alles drinnen und kein lied kommt raus. ja, aber jedenfalls werden wir auch das eine ("port of new orleans") oder andere ("tomorrow") neue im november/dezember zum besten geben. wir freuen uns schon sehr!

we had our first rehearsal with ines yesterday after she returned from the usa. good to have her back! and whatever it is, but at the moment i write songs very easily. so i was happy to present a new song to my band yesterday. a drinking song called "homedrinking." i guess we all like it a lot, it was fun to arrange it. we will rehearse it so that we can play it to you on our tour with emma which is starting in two (!!) weeks. we are so looking forward to it. and we are also going to present a few more songs than just the drinking song. because there are times - like now - when impressions generate expressions in the form of a song, but often enough i keep the impressions for myself, and no song emerges. but sharing is so much more satisfying than keeping it for myself!
konzerttechnisch ist wien gerade a good place to be. nach Großartigkeiten wie marilies jagsch, killed by 9v batteries, wolke, grand opening letzte woche, kommen jetzt die lemonheads im flex dran, morgen ernst molden und a life a song a cigarette im radiokulturhaus. aber langsam gehen mir energie und geld aus.
